Trish, Noah & Jerbear the cuddlebug

Dog, male, 4+yrs

Adopted Jan 2022

2-dog household

Trish and Noah had been planning to welcome a furry addition to their family, and they figured - what better way to do it than welcoming a rescue in need of another chance at a good life?

On their first visit to Metta, they were introduced to Jerry (now affectionately renamed Jer or Jerbear the cuddlebug) and fell for his bright brindle colors. Little did they know that it was a sign of his bright manja bear personality!

As the couple has another dog, Castle the husky, they were initially worried on how Jer would adapt to a new home and his new brother. He was still a shy boy that was protective of his personal space.

However, time, patience and lots of training eventually got Jer to open up and integrate well with the family. He is now attached at the hip with Castle, and is a lot more confident with Castle by his side! They both learn a lot from each other, the great parts and sometimes also the naughty bits.

While Jer has charmed a lot of Trish and Noah’s visitors with his quiet cuddly demeanor, he also has some quirks. Trish told us: “He farts. A lot. And with his built in propellor (tail) he sure knows to how give a good spanking during a walk-by. Hahaha!”

We’re so delighted to head that Jer has brought a lot more cuddles, giggles and love in Trish and Noah’s lives!
