Chicken (and her sister Rose) were rescued from a “popular” (sigh) cat dumping site in Sungei Kadut a couple of years ago. They both live with 3 other young, playful and energetic cats in what our volunteers affectionately call the “Kids’ Room”! (Soon it’ll be the “Teens’ Room”!)

Guess what Chicken’s favourite food is…?

Sociability: Jokes aside. Chicken was also named because she’s so excitable and inquisitive and always comes pecking for pats! This pretty brown tabby is brave and up for new experiences too - when a kind donor dropped off a new UFO-like toy, the other cats stared at it uncertainly. Chicken was the first to approach with gusto and figured out how to play with it. Soon the others joined in! (…and the toy was destroyed after a few weeks…)

Chicken and Rose are very close so it would be ideal for them to be adopted together! Plus, a bonus is that they’ll keep each other entertained and well-occupied which is always a boon - as we all know, a bored kitty is a dangerous kitty!

However, she would also be ok on her own, just with loving and patient guidance. :)

Health: Chicken is FIV and FELV negative, and has been sterilised.
