Personality: Tom is an active, funny, cheeky, mischievous lil guy. He is a busybody who loves run up and down our shelter corridors to check out what the other dogs are up to! He also tends to be shy of new people, so he takes time to warm up and build a bond.

Suitable for: A very patient adopter, who will be able to care for his skin condition and who will understand that Tom needs time to build trust and bonding.

Background: Tom has been in the shelter since birth as his mum was rescued when she was heavily pregnant

Sociability with humans: Like his brothers and sisters, he takes a bit of time to warm up. We also think he’s a bit sensitive to changes and can get a tad anxious. But once he gets to know you, he’ll stick to you and be a super fun and adorable companion.

Sociability with other dogs/ cats: Selective with dogs. Preferably the only dog in the household. Unknown with cats.

Health conditions: Persistent skin bacterial/fungal infection over paws, neck and around eyes, possibly from allergies. We hope this will improve in a cleaner environment. Tommy boy also has prior exposure to Ehrlichia (tick-related bacterial infection, non-contagious), so will need regular vet checks to stay on top of his health. He is currently on medications for his skin condition.
